Late
Annasaheb Chudaman Patil, who was a passionate advocate of basic
education and
rural health services, is the inspiration behind the Trust. The
healthcare
facilities that have been made available to tribal and lower income
groups of
the Dhule region today are the result of Annasaheb's untiring efforts
as Member
of Parliament. And it was during his tenure as Member of the
Legislative
Council subsequently that the seeds of the Jawahar Group were sown.
Over
a decade back, the well-known Annasaheb Chudaman
Patil College of Engineering
(ACPCE) was set
up by the Trust at Kharghar, with the aim of producing
versatile and efficient
engineers
who are fully equipped to build the future of the country. The
Institute is affiliated with the University
of
Mumbai and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education
(AICTE), Government of Maharashtra. With its
state-of-the-art
infrastructure,
highly qualified and experienced faculty and value added teaching
methodology,
ACPCE has successfully ensured almost 90% results, with several Mumbai
University rank holders among them
The Jawahar Education Society logo represents excellence in achievement through well-balanced all-round personality development. At the centre of the logo is a figurative depiction of Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge, encompassed by a sign that is traditionally used to indicate ‘Karyasiddhi’, which together suggests fulfillment through education. Expanding circles pointing towards infinity are indicative of well-rounded growth of personality and vision, which every individual who is ready to face upcoming challenges must strive for.
